According to a statistical update from the General Administration of Customs, the export value of textiles and clothing in China from January to May this year was 116.67 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 1%. Among them, textile exports amounted to 58.48 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 2.5%; Clothing exports amounted to 58.2 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 0.5%.
Currently, textile exports continue to grow, clothing exports remain under pressure, and the international market is still showing a trend of differentiation, with external uncertainty constantly rising. Faced with multiple challenges such as the adjustment of the global trade pattern and the rise of green trade barriers, textile foreign trade enterprises should strengthen their adaptability to complex external environments and high standard economic and trade rules, enhance the stability and flexibility of the industrial and supply chains, accelerate the pace of product structure optimization, and promote a leap towards the middle and high end of the value chain. On the basis of consolidating key markets in Europe and the United States, we will further focus on key markets such as RCEP and the "the Belt and Road" co construction country, and gradually improve the channel network and local service supporting facilities in combination with our own resource endowment and market characteristics to improve market response efficiency and comprehensive security capabilities; At the same time, we will seize the opportunity of global digital economy transformation, actively explore the integration path of new formats such as cross-border e-commerce and overseas warehouses, cultivate new momentum in foreign trade, and consolidate the endogenous foundation of export growth.
